Retrospective FAQs
Please advise LBA of additions to this section.
Locating resources
Where was X person/vehicle at XYZ date/time?
Select a narrow time window in Retrospective, and search by person or vehicle. This will be dependant on IR3 receiving radio or vehicle polls.
Locating which resources were in a particular area
Who/what vehicles were in a defined area between X time and Y time?
Draw a custom boundary in Retrospective, set the time frame, and use Vehicle Trips or Person Trails as the source.
Identifying driver and double crewing
Who was driving AB12CDE at X time and who was with them?
Assuming RFID cards / Dallas keys are in use, check the Vehicle Trips data in retrospective.
Once the driver has been established, use the Driving / Double Crews report, setting the date range, and filtering the results by the Primary Name / Collar Number.
Investigating people
Investigating Person X. See where they have been, and every vehicle driven over a given period of time. Export this.
Use Person Trails / Person Filters & Vehicle Trips / Driver Filters in Retrospective to identify movement, and export in GeoJSON format.
Use standard mapping applications such as QGIS to import the GeoJSON data, which will provide the ability to view the movement and export as video file.
Incident trends
Where are crimes of a certain category happening more often? What days/times are these happening? How does these correspond to our patrols?
Use a Heat map within Retrospective, using Incidents as the source, setting the time period, and using the Event Filters to further refine.
Separate Retrospective layers can be used, with different colouring, for each day of the week. Use the Hide / Show Layer function to aid visibility.
